3 August 2025 – Imola, Italy — American Formula 4 rookie Payton Westcott, delivered a commanding performance at Round 5 of the Italian F4 Championship at the legendary Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola. After a tough qualifying session that left her starting further back on the grid than expected, Westcott showed true resilience and racecraft across the weekend. In Race 1, she stormed through the field and finished P1 in the female class, making up several positions with clean, confident overtakes and gaining 11 positions. A dramatic incident at the start led to Race 2 being red-flagged and ultimately cancelled, due to her quick reactions Westcott managed to avoid the chaos and keep herself out of trouble. The American driver bounced back again in Race 3, securing P2 in class, gaining 10 more positions and wrapping up the weekend with a double podium.

Across just two races, she gained 21 positions, avoided chaos on track, and maximised every opportunity, proving once again that she’s a serious contender, even in one of the most competitive junior series in the world.

These results further tighten the gap in the Italian F4 Female Trophy standings. With only a few points now separating her from the current leader Emily Cotty, Westcott is making her presence known as one of the most exciting up-and-coming drivers in the field.

Westcott now shifts focus to the second round of the E4 Championship at Mugello, looking to carry her upward trajectory into the next chapter of her European racing journey with Van Amersfoort Racing.
