Payton Westcott Takes Class Win at Misano
MISANO, ITALY — 21 SEPTEMBER 2026 — Payton Westcott returned to the top step of the Women’s Trophy at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, securing a class victory in Race 3 as she continued her 2026 Italian F4 campaign with R-ace GP.
The penultimate round of the Italian F4 Championship brought Westcott back to Misano for the second time this season, with the weekend featuring a four-race format and the field divided into groups for the opening races.
Westcott began the weekend with two Free Practice sessions on Friday. She recorded P20 in Free Practice 1 before improving to P15 in Free Practice 2 as the field adapted to the Misano circuit.
In Saturday’s Qualifying, Westcott competed in Group 2 and set the 13th-fastest time in her session. The result placed her into the weekend’s race schedule, with the Italian F4 format dividing the field across different groups.
Westcott’s first competitive outing came in Race 2 on Saturday afternoon. She crossed the line P18 overall and secured P2 in the Women’s Trophy, adding a class podium to her weekend tally.
The R-ace GP driver returned to the circuit on Sunday for Race 3, delivering her strongest result of the weekend. Westcott finished P18 overall while taking victory in the Women’s Trophy, returning to the top step of the class podium.
Westcott then progressed to the final race of the weekend, where she was classified DNF. The result brought her Misano weekend to a close after a class podium and a class victory across the two races she completed.
Due to the race groupings, Westcott did not participate in Race 1, meaning she contested three of the four scheduled races at the Misano round.
With one class victory and one additional class podium, Westcott completed her Misano weekend with strong results in the Women’s Trophy despite the DNF in the final race.
The Misano event was the penultimate Italian F4 round of the 2026 season, with the championship scheduled to conclude at Mugello from October 30 to November 1.
