01 December 2025 – Dubai, UAE — American racing driver Payton Westcott has made an immediate impact in her first appearance in the Formula Trophy UAE, claiming pole position and victory in Race 2 at the championship’s opening round in Dubai.

Competing with PREMA Racing under the Mumbai Falcons banner, the 16-year-old joined the three-round winter series to stay sharp and gain additional race experience ahead of her main 2026 campaign.

After showing strong pace throughout the weekend, Westcott secured pole position for Race 2 and went on to convert it into a commanding win — making her the first ever female race winner in Formula Trophy history.

“It was a really fun weekend and a great way to start the year,” said Payton. “Joining PREMA and the Mumbai Falcons program has been amazing. Getting pole and the win in Race 2 gave me a big confidence boost heading into the upcoming season. It’s the perfect way to keep the momentum going through the winter.”

The Formula Trophy UAE is a new single-seater championship designed to provide young drivers with additional race mileage during the off-season. The series will feature three rounds across Dubai and Abu Dhabi, bringing together emerging talents from across the globe.

With this historic result, Westcott adds another milestone to her already impressive resume — having competed in Italian F4, the E4 Championship, and the F1 Academy finale in Las Vegas.

The next stop for Payton will be Round 3 of the Formula Trophy UAE in Abu Dhabi, where she aims to continue building momentum into the 2026 season.
