Race Report: Back-to-Back Victories for Payton Westcott in Monza

Monza, Italy – June 23, 2025 – American racing driver Payton Westcott continued to build momentum in her debut Italian F4 season with a strong showing at Round 3 at Monza, earning two victories in the Female Trophy and three solid Rookie finishes with Van Amersfoort Racing.

The weekend began with a minor setback during Free Practice 2, a crash due to an on-track incident saw Payton visit the medical center. Undeterred, Payton responded with strong pace in qualifying.

In Qualifying, Payton faced a challenging start to the weekend, but still managed to put in some strong laps. In Qualifying 1, she secured P1 in the Female Trophy and P15 in the Rookie classification. In Qualifying 2, she followed up with P2 in the Female Trophy and again P15 among the Rookies. Her second-best lap from Q1, which set the grid for Race 3, placed her P2 in the Female Trophy and P18 in the Rookie field.

Come Saturday’s Race 1, Payton turned things around with an impressive drive. Despite a grid drop, she charged through the field with determination, taking the win in the Female Trophy and finishing P9 in the Rookie classification, another top-10 finish in one of Europe’s most competitive junior categories.

Sunday saw continued success. In Race 2, Payton once again led the Female Trophy field to take her second win of the weekend and brought the car home P10 in the Rookie classification, proving her ability to fight consistently within the midfield.

The final challenge of the weekend, Race 3, saw Westcott drive a measured race to finish second in the Female Trophy and P11 in Rookie, wrapping up a strong weekend with three clean, points-scoring results.

Now three rounds into the championship, Payton Westcott continues to impress with her adaptability and racecraft. Her next stop: Mugello, where Round 4 of the Italian F4 Championship will take place from July 12–14.
