Vallelunga, Italy – May 27, 2025 – American racing talent Payton Westcott took on Round 2 of the Italian F4 Championship at the Vallelunga Circuit this past weekend, continuing her debut campaign with Van Amersfoort Racing. Despite a weekend of mixed fortunes, the 16-year-old showed grit, adaptability, and consistent performance in the Female Trophy standings.

Friday's free practice sessions saw promising pace, but qualifying proved difficult as tyre performance hindered her ability to deliver a clean push lap. Still, Payton secured P2 in the Female Trophy with a best lap time of 1:49.653, showing her ability to extract solid results even under tricky conditions.
Saturday's opening race brought plenty of action. Starting further back on the grid, Payton battled her way forward in a determined drive to claim another P2 in the Female Trophy and a top-10 finish in the Rookie Championship, underlining her racecraft and composure in the pack.
Sunday's race tested her perseverance once again. A front wing issue early in the race compromised her pace, but Payton pushed on to finish on the podium in the Female Trophy and P13 in the Rookie classification, collecting valuable experience along the way.
While the weekend didn’t deliver the overall results the young American was aiming for, it proved a valuable learning curve as she continues to adapt to the highly competitive F4 environment. With consistent Female Trophy podiums and solid rookie points, Payton remains focused and motivated as the season progresses.
Next up is the legendary Monza Circuit, where Payton will return to action for Round 3 of the Italian F4 Championship, June 22.
